My current favorite piece is this luna moth necklace.
I just love the way the silver woven antennae work with the bead. Click

What do I do?
Bead and Jewelry Design: OK, I admit it....I'm an addict! After learning to work with stained glass, I wanted to mess with melted glass. I started experimenting with creating glass lampwork beads. One thing led to another and I dug up my old jewelry skills, my own original beads, sterling silver wire, high quality semi-precious stones, vintage beads, and crystals to create unique wearable jewelry. Eventually I had more jewelry and beads than I could possibly wear and started this business, Works of Joy, travel all over Michigan doing shows, and am past president and current webmaster of the Southeast Michigan Glass Beadmakers Guild. Recently, my work has really focued on animals. I love getting expression in an animal's face. Take a look at my online gallery. If you see something you like, let me know. An online store is coming soon!
Web Design: I do web design for both my "regular" job and on the side. My job is Head of Automated Services at Brighton District Library. At BDL, I'm the webmaster for our public site and a large intranet. I also work with my terrific staff to make sure our network runs seamlessly, public and staff machines are always running, and patrons can check out and interloan materials. I also teach computer classes for staff and public, and, of course, I'll answer you reference questions! As both an information professional and artist, I bring creative and organizational skills to any website I work on. I use colors and graphics to draw the user into a site. My websites are easily navigated with a layout that is intuitive to the user. Take a look at a few of my other websites. I have reasonble rates and will be happy to talk to you about your project!
Thank you for visiting my site!
