About Me
My family: I'm married to Ricky...oh my God, it'll be 20 years this year! We're going to Venice for two weeks to celebrate! I have a 3 grown children, Melanie (27), Andy (26) and Derek (23) and two grandchildren, Austin (born Jan 27th, 2004) and Jaiden (born April 29, 2006). All this beadmaking and web design stuff was to fill in the empty nest gap but with grandchildren, the nest isn't as empty. I have to get new pics up of my babies!!!!
Melanie is married to Matt and, someday I'll get some wedding pics online. It was a gorgeous wedding thanks to our friends, Jeff and Pat, for letting us use their place.
Where I live: I live in an old farmhouse with a huge old barn on two acres in Sumpter Township, near Belleville, Michigan. We have recently purchased another two acres right on the beautiful St. Joseph River in Buchanan Township, about 25 minutes from Lake Michigan and 9 miles from the Michigan/Indiana border. The only bluebirds I've ever seen in my life were spotted on that land so it must be a happy place. Ricky and I get away there several times every summer to kayak, bike, beachcomb, and camp. This might be our retirement home someday.
Where I work: I work at Brighton District Library where I am Head of Automated Services. What this means is I get to do cool stuff like designing and maintaining our website, setting up wireless access, teaching folks how to use computers and do neat stuff on computers, answering reference questions, buying books, setting up online access to databases....you get the idea. Lots of technology and librarian stuff.
